Medina Mariners Association
Medina Mariners Association is a registered charity based on the River Medina on the Isle of Wight adjacent to the popular Folly Inn.
Our aim is to protect and preserve the amenities and environment of the Medina Estuary for recreational use and to further the provision of facilities for residents and visitors of the Isle of Wight for leisure activities on and around the estuary.
MMA has a forum where members can discuss anything from taking pets on your boat to advice on fixing an engine. The forum can be found in the Members Only section of this website.
Check out our 'For Sale or Wanted' where you can pick up a bargain (under the 'More' tab above and updated daily), and 'Crew Wanted and Available' pages. The 'Crew Wanted and Available' page is in the Members Only section of this website.

MMA Members What's App Group
Did you know that MMA has a members WhatsApp group? It's great for keeping in touch with each other about anything MMA and boating.
Some of our members use it to let other's know that they're taking their sailing dinghies out should anyone want to join them. Or maybe you'd like to share your sailing and cruising photos. Members can ask advice about anything related to boating, or the best place to go for repairs etc. or just to find out where we are all sitting in The Folly on our social evenings. It's a great way for members to keep in touch with each other.

Last Friday of the Month, Members Social Evening
On the last Friday of every month, we have an informal members social get-together at
The Folly Inn at 6pm.
The next one will be on
31st July 2026.
Please feel free to join us. It usually lasts a couple of hours and we all chat and get to know each other over a drink or three and some food if you wish. Just look for the table with the yellow and red burgee laying in the middle. In the winter, we usually sit just inside the main entrance in the corner by the open fire. In the summer, we usually sit outside in the pub garden around the biggest table we can find.
Storage of Outboard Motors
It's such a pain, having to keep bringing the outboard motor to your dinghy from home and then have to take it back again, every time you want to use your dinghy. But with MMA outboard motor storage, you won't have to. You can just attach it to your stand and wheel it straight into your allocated lockable storage unit within the gated oar house compound. Peace of mind and ease of use with security. Sounds great doesn't it?
So if you're interested in storing your dinghy outboard motor with MMA, send an email to our Honorary Treasurer who will send you an application form.
Social Secretary Post Available
The trustees of Medina Mariners Association are looking for a new Social Secretary to arrange member events and social get-togethers. If you, or anyone you know, would be interested, and would like to see the job spec, please contact the MMA Secretary using this form, in the first instance. Committee members are required to attend up to six meetings per year and receive a free dinghy space in our dinghy park.
