Dinghy Park

The Association has a large fenced dinghy park just to the south of the Folly Inn, with access onto the concrete public slipway that allows launching in virtually all states of tide into the Medina River.  There are marked spaces for approximately 240 dinghies, these usually being 5ft or 6ft wide and long enough to store boats of up to approx 11ft in length.  Within the dinghy park there is also an area of racking, which allows for the storage of approximately 30 smaller dinghies, which can be lifted and stored vertically.  These are near the access to the slipway.  Concrete pathways provide access to the dinghies, and the park is subject to regular weed killing treatment and hedge trimming to keep it in a tidy state, although members are encouraged to keep their plots tidy. There is also a dinghy rack in the nearby harbour office compound for around 10 dinghies.  Launching from here is rather more tide dependant unless you dont mind getting muddy feet! It is strongly recommended that members make arrangements to secure their dinghies when stored in the park, and not to leave valuable equipment with their dinghies as unfortunately we do get occasional thefts. We strongly recommend all craft in the park are clearly marked and identifable.  Please see the Current Charges page for details of fees payable or click for membership form.
